Our Band of Merry Volunteers have been out in Force this month raising important funds to go towards keeping Your Hospital Station Going.
1st off on the 8th of December Ulverston Sports and Social Club played Host to our Night with the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley.
A great night was had by Volunteers, Bar Staff and also the people who came to watch.
We Raised £89 through the sale of tickets, and also raffle ticket sales as well, every penny no matter how big or small goes well to helping Radio Lonsdale continue to do what it does.
Star Elvis Tribute William Maurice who had Toured all over the likes of America and Europe including a stint in Vegas itself Donned the Famous Elvis Jumpsuit Preforming Classic’s such as Wonder of you, Teddy Bear and Jail House Rock to the delight of Viewers, Whilst Pete Sexton did a great job as Sound Tech and provided great dance tunes from the 70s during the Interval and Adam Johnson controlled the Studio Feed as we broadcast LIVE back to Furness General Hospital. Karen and Fay Sold Tickets on the Door and Raffle Tickets as well While William Morin Pottered around as well (wonder where ha ha) so it was a great Team Effort by all.
Saturday 16th of December saw our Fundraiser in Asda.
Entertaining the Shoppers whilst they did their final bits of Christmas Shop and also the Staff who were busy on the tills and check outs.
We once again Went LIVE back to the Hospital for this one providing an entertaining show also taking requests and shout outs from customers dedicated to patients at Furness General.
We raised a Fantastic £242.92p from Asda so added to the £89 from the Elvis Concert it makes a Huge £331.92p raised to go towards running costs and maintenance work to keep your Hospital Station going.
