Tell us a little about yourself
I am involved with the non presenting side of the Radio Lonsdale team with my main job being the management of the website along with designs and ideas from other members. I don’t present a show but have a keen interest in all things radio, I do like to make my own jingles and make the odd show at home and am happy to let the many talented presenters manage that side of the station. I run my own web design business RedRobinDesignUK in the Cumbria area, have a keen interest in music and in a distant time ago I liked to play a groove or two on the drums.
What Kind of Music you do like?
I like my music. I’m a particular fan of 60’s/70’s prog rock and American jazz funk labels. Particular favourite artists include Ian Dury & the Blockheads, Steely Dan, Deodato, Isaac Hayes and a smidgen of Jamiroquai.
What got you interested in Radio Lonsdale?
About two years ago the team of volunteers were a little low on numbers and with the idea of producing a website that allows people to become more involved with the station and nobody to manage this, I decided that I could provide this service and help out with any computer problems if required. For me, sitting in the background of the team lineup and slowly seeing growth over the last two years is a great thing.
